Pig Frog (L. grylio) Calls

Although these critters are seldom seen, Pig Frogs (Lithobates grylio) are often heard! These large frogs earned their common name from the pig-like grunting sound they make. You will be able to hear their calls around the boardwalk during their breeding season in the spring and summer months.
