Bushfire emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere – YES, even in Perth! 😲🔥 An out-of-control bushfire in Southern River came dangerously close to homes yesterday, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air and burning through around 20 hectares. More than 80 career and volunteer firefighters, backed by our aircraft and supported by the SES and WA Police, spent Sunday battling the blaze and thanks to their incredible efforts, the fire was brought under control before 10pm 🙌 Moral of the story.
